About Observeday

Hey there! I’m Wisdom, and I’m absolutely head over heels in love with birthdays and holidays. Like, seriously – show me a reason to celebrate, and I’m there with bells on (sometimes literally, especially during Christmas)! But more than the celebrations themselves, I believe every smile has a story, every birthday holds a chapter, and every holiday weaves tales that deserve to be told.

How Observeday Was Born

You know that feeling when you love something so much you just have to share it with the world?

That’s exactly how Observeday came to be. I found myself constantly thinking about celebrations, saving party ideas on my phone, and texting friends about holiday traditions. But what really sparked this blog into existence were those magical moments – when someone’s eyes light up talking about their favorite holiday memory, or that soft smile people get when sharing childhood birthday traditions.

What’s With The Name?

Observeday came from my love of observing and celebrating special days. Clever, right? (Okay, maybe it took me about 47 attempts to come up with it, but we’re rolling with it!)

Why Stories Matter

Behind every candle blown out, there’s a wish.
Behind every wrapped present, there’s thought and care.
Behind every holiday dinner, there’s legacy.
Behind every celebration, there’s a story waiting to be shared.

These stories aren’t just memories – they’re the threads that connect us, the traditions that shape us, and the legacies we carry forward through generations.

The Real Deal

Here’s the thing: I’m not Martha Stewart or a professional party planner (honestly, I’m still googling “how to blog” pretty regularly!). I’m just someone who gets ridiculously excited about making days special, and I’m learning as I go. Sometimes my cakes lean like the Tower of Pisa, and my holiday decorations might not look Pinterest-perfect, but you know what? That’s part of the journey!

The Heart of Observeday

While I’m new to blogging, I’m a lifelong collector of stories. Some celebrations are grand, some are quiet, but each one carries meaning. Whether it’s:

  • The grandmother who bakes the same cake her mother made
  • The family who celebrates Christmas in July because that’s when everyone can gather
  • The child who insisted on a dinosaur-themed birthday at age 85
  • The holiday traditions that started by complete accident

These are the moments that make life rich, and this is where we’ll share them.

My Promise To You
